To say that Messiah did not observe the 10 commandments is to say the Bible lies! A bold statement? Sadly mainstream.

A must for all Jews, Messiah among them, the ten commandments were and continue to be a very large part of the central Glue that holds Israel together, even those coming back to the roots of Messiah YH’shua’s faith, into modernity.

In those days the Sabbath was expected and the norm, a way of life that it is seldom mentioned in the Bible. Some argue this is the reason we do not follow them. Which leads to the question, of course, how many times need it be said to count? That aside, it is mentioned ~58 times in what we today call the New Testament.

Here is a sample of a conversation between our Messiah and a man; Messiah answering the question, “what must we do to inherit salvation /eternal life”, YH’shua said,

“¹⁹ You know the commandments:

Do not murder;

do not commit adultery;

do not steal;

do not bear false witness;

do not defraud;

honor your father and mother.”^[a] “

Then interrupted by the man. (Mark 10:17-19)
