Revealed: Six Days or 6000 Years?
2 Peter 3:8 (NIV)
“8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With ‘the Lord’ [ha-YHWH: the-Name, Word and Works, of Israel’s ‘Elohiym] “a day ‘IS LIKE a thousand years’ and ‘a thousand years IS LIKE a day’ “.”
Above, a Peter that opens the door to physical observation, if we listen carefully. Here his, “is like a 1000 years”- statement, opening an otherwise mystical creations’ story to that of the practical!
A metaphor, no doubt, but missed if blinking, the “is like a 1000 years” an expression denoting a very long passage of time and not certainly a specific period of same – what most of us have grown up believing.
And so it is that a man-made conflict, that of science and religious thought, has pushed science away from the Bible and vice versa; one could argue, both moving ever so close to atheism. Learned professionals that sadly have an anti-Biblical mindset. Scientist especially, but other scholars as well, teachers sharing one side of the leading edge with scientists, many of who bolster marxist (communist) opinion, what we see throughout our learning institutions, a dangerous move away from Biblical faith and deadly proposition for the future of free and faithful peoples across the globe.
A calling to wake up for the good of our children, where ending the view of many in the pew and science alike is sure to To bring science back intrealign what has always been, the study of physical laws that accentuate not attack Biblical faith, as many have pointed out, science is no different than a vehicle, a tool to a destination and what religious and atheistic minority constructs have been busy trying to destroy for well over 3 centuries; a disdain for the original minds of the true Bible Prophets – who well knew the practical aspects of creation itself, before modernity decided to declare war on their union to same.
Which brings us to the question, will we continue to allow our children to be taught by such? A construct that continues to marginalize faith?
To recap, two extremes, a modern pew, and the atheist in science. These two continuing their efforts to separate science and the Bible.
So next time a child speaks to what science postulates, on creations timeline, make sure to take them to Genesis 1 & 2 and 2 Peter 3:8, etc.. and show them how the Bible, even with it’s poetic flare, will never steer them wrong – always leading them to a defensible end! A truth that precedes the tool we call science.
As to the scientific community? an invitation to see the Bible in a different light, inerrant and applicable.
