Isaiah 47
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Humiliation of Babylon
47 “Come down and sit in the “dust” (daqaq: the crumbled, crushed (thing), etc..),
O virgin daughter of Babylon;
Sit on the ground without a throne,
O daughter of the Chaldeans!
For you shall no more be called
Tender and delicate.
2 Take the millstones and grind meal.
Remove your veil,
Take off the skirt,
Uncover the thigh,
Pass through the rivers.
3 Your nakedness shall be uncovered,
Yes, your shame will be seen;
I will take vengeance,
And I will not arbitrate with a man.”
Amein and Amein!!!!
The prophet Eliyah here declaring a word of warning to Babylon, who soon had forgetten who had brought her to greatness: Does this sound familiar to anyone?
This story with eerie similarity to ours, the free world, a people who’s JudeoChristian tenants became their strength – freedom, tenants that seemingly dwindle before our very eyes, the instigator? she who calls for respect in place of shame, she who says, we know the secrets – they are revealed to us, you know her; the professional prognosticators of times, the worshipers of idols (other g-ds), of things, the accusers of the Word – offenders of the Works; Babylon you back-stabber, you who received greatness, the things only YHWH birthed, you know the strength – the freedom, you sorcerer, adulterer, disrespector of mother and father; you lie to your loved ones, seeking loose sexual conduct, a therapy; you know salvation and destruction, it doesn’t affect you.
Strengthen yourselves daily friends, don’t cease to speak the Word – walk the Works – warning others, but most of all, guard against her – that you too may not fall, for it is written, for it will be, a matter for the crushing.
With love. Always in YH’shua.
