Ephesians 5:1
Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
“5 Therefore, be imitators of ‘God’ [ha-‘Elohiym: the heavenly Magistrates, the-heavenly Angels (Ambassadors, etc..), etc..], as dearly ‘loved’ [yadid: beloved, etc..] ‘children’ [ben: builders of ‘the family name’ (ha-YHWH: the–Name, Word and Works, of Abraham’s ‘Elohiym), etc..].”
‘Amein’ (Amen: So be it, Truly etc..)
Strong’s Hebrew Lexicon:
G-d: 430 ‘elohiym el-o-heem’ plural of 433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:–angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty. https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/h430/kjv/wlc/0-1/
Angel(s): 4397 mal’ak mal-awk’ [plural Malik] from an unused root meaning to despatch as a deputy; a messenger[–s]; specifically, of ‘God’ [‘Elohiym: Magistrates, Angels, etc.], i.e. an ‘angel’ [malak: messenger(s), etc..] (also a prophet[-s], priest[-s] or teacher[-s]):–ambassador, angel, king, messenger[-s]. https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/h4397/nkjv/wlc/0-1/
Loved: יְדִיד yᵉdîyd, yed-eed’; from the same as H1730; loved:—amiable, (well-) beloved, loves. https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/h3039/kjv/wlc/0-1/
Amen (Amein): אָמֵן ʼâmên, aw-mane’; from H539; sure; abstract, faithfulness; adverb, truly:—Amen, so be it, truth. https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/h543/kjv/wlc/0-1/
Significance of the Name of the ‘Elohiym of Israel; replaced by the term Lord, in the Bible, ~7000 times:
YHWH or YHVH (I AM THAT I AM):
“According to the Hebrew Bible, in the encounter of the burning bush (Exodus 3:14) Moses asks what he is to say to the Israelites when they ask what ‘gods’ (‘Elohiym) have sent him to them, and YHWH replies, “I am who I am”, adding, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I am has sent me to you.’”
“I AM THAT I AM”, “I AM WHO I AM”, ETC..
The Name that quite literally refers to what the “I AM THAT I AM” – is. Arguably also seen in Messiah’s expression, “the Way, the Truth, the Life”, paraphrasing YH’shua (YH’Saves).
The ‘spirit’ (ruwach: expression or mind, etc..) of the ‘Elohiym of Creation, YHWH; the Name that defines the heavenly Word and Works.
“Used as an emphatic statement,” that of the steward’s wisdom in action, and again, the ‘spirit’ (ha-ruwach: the-heavenly expression, etc..) as seen in and of YH’s heavenly messengers, ambassadors, appointed men, women, and prophets – leading to ‘YH’shua’ (YH Saves); ultimately, leading to you – the faithful in YHWH.
May, “YHWH bless you and keep you!” Numbers 6: 24-26.
